Academic & Personal Counseling

SSSP participants are assigned to an Academic Program Coordinator who they are required to meet with for an Academic Check-in at least twice a semester.  During this time goals, plans, academics and many other topics will be discussed.

Free Individual and Group Tutoring

SSSP participants can take advantage of two hours per week per subject of free individual tutoring. Individual tutors can be found in the TutorFind book in the Center for Academic Success (150 S. College Ave) or at

Peer Mentoring

Each new participant is paired with an SSSP peer mentor.  Peer Mentors are a great resource to students regardless of whether a participant is a freshman or further along in their academic journey.  They are aware of campus events, resources and are full of great advice.  They organize programs and workshops as well!

Social and Cultural Enrichment

A variety of programs will be provided for SSSP participants at no cost to the participant.

SSSP Staff and peer mentors are very knowledgeable about the programs and services on campus. We can always point you in the right direction.
